I'm an artist working across oil painting, illustration, and practical makeup effects. Based in Atlanta, available to travel.

Makeup

I work in both corrective makeup and special makeup effects — sculpting prosthetics, and illustrating, printing, and applying custom tattoos for film and television. Since 2013 I've worked on everything from small independent features to major studio productions. Whatever the look calls for, the standard is the same: it has to read as real on camera.

Illustration

Illustration runs through everything I do. On set it's tattoo design and prosthetic concepts; off set it's personal work and commissions for local and corporate clients.

Oil Painting

I paint portraits in oil, working from both life and photo reference. Portrait commissions are open, contact me to inquire.

About Forrest

I studied fine arts for over five years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After several years in the art department at Spitfire Studios in Atlanta, I apprenticed at AFX Studios in the special makeup effects shop, then went on to work on multiple films under Greg Funk, Fionagh Cush, and Steve Prouty.

Between shooting schedules, I keep up a steady practice of illustration, painting, and sculpting - work that has led to independent projects for local and corporate clients and everything in between.
